Real Estate Investments in Transition: PropTech and Impact in the Spotlight – Invesdor Group Investment Manager Lukas Linn Joins the Jury for the 2025 Impact Awards at Expo Real
Berlin/Munich, October 2, 2025 – From October 6 to 8, the international real estate industry will gather at Expo Real in Munich. Key trends: sustainable real estate financing, PropTech innovations, and new investment models. Among the participants is Lukas Linn, Head of Equity Investments at the Invesdor Group and a jury member for the 2025 Impact Awards, which will be presented during the event. His participation underscores Invesdor’s strategic focus as Europe’s largest impact investment platform, which is expanding its portfolio to include real estate investments—opening new opportunities for both investors and project developers.
Sustainability, digitalization, and impact-driven investing are increasingly transforming the real estate market. For developers, new financing avenues are emerging. Meanwhile, private investors are gaining access to asset classes that were once almost exclusively reserved for institutional players. The first real estate co-placements on the Invesdor platform were oversubscribed within a short time—an indicator of strong demand from the impact-oriented crowd.
“Sustainable real estate financing is becoming increasingly important. PropTechs and innovative solution providers are showing how technology and sustainability are reshaping the industry and creating new investment opportunities,” says Linn. In previous roles, he helped drive digital transformation in the construction and real estate sectors. His jury role at Expo Real highlights Invesdor’s close ties to the real estate innovation scene.
One example of this shift is the Berlin-based PropTech company metr. This growth-stage company offers digital solutions for energy-efficient building management, helping reduce CO₂ emissions, lower energy costs, and increase transparency in operations. Currently, metr is conducting a financing round on the Invesdor platform, in which private investors can participate. A team from metr, including CEO Dr. Franka Birke, will also be present at Expo Real.
The Impact Awards recognize innovations that make the real estate market more sustainable and future-ready. With Expo Real as the stage, one thing is clear: PropTechs and impact-oriented investments are no longer niche topics—they are driving forces for the entire industry.

Liion Power extends battery life and reduces e-waste
Amsterdam-based start-up Liion Power develops software and hardware that extends the lifespan of batteries and devices. This reduces electronic and chemical waste, leading to lower CO₂ emissions. According to the start-up, global application of the technology could save more than 10 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, comparable to 1.5 million return flights between Amsterdam and New York. Liion Power has been selected for Invesdor, the largest European platform for impact investments, which will enable further upscaling of the technology.
